Food for Kicks is a record label where food is music. Every release is a musical portrait of a recipe by a star chef. Culinary creativity inspires musical creativity.
The name plays on both meanings: for kicks, for the thrill of it, and the kick drum that drives every track. A playful idea, run like a label: catalogue numbers, limited vinyl, guest musicians recorded live.
“Synesthetic Recipes, VOL.1” is the first release: a 300-copy vinyl made for the guests of the Bite Festival gala dinner. Every volume to come will follow the same recipe, with new chefs, new musicians and its own colour.
Emma began her career in the 1980s as a radio DJ, on independent Italian stations and later on Radio Rai. In those years she also played Latin music on vinyl in clubs.
